Special Collections Show and Tell at Inaugural Tom Regan Lecture

Tom Regan interview in the Animals’ Voice, 1987On Friday September 21, 2018, from 2:30-3pm in Withers Hall, the Special Collections Research Center will bring a show and tell of materials to the inaugural Tom Regan Lecture, first in an annual series hosted by the NCSU Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies and the Culture and Animals Foundation. Materials on display will highlight selections from the Tom Regan Papers (MC 236) and other collections on animal rights and animal welfare.

Materials from the Tom Regan Papers (MC 236) will include items documenting Regan's life and career, including his scholarship, publications, and activism.

Also on display will be a sampling of international animal rights & welfare materials from the Wim DeKok Animal Rights Collection (MC 566), and selected items from early animal rights & welfare organizations in the United Kingdom documented in the Animal Rights and Animal Welfare Pamphlets (MC 456) collection.
